With over 30 years of experience, Robert has significantly impacted the insurance brokerage industry, particularly in the Professional Employer Organization (PEO) and staffing sectors. His pioneering vision has steered Barrow Group towards becoming a leader in risk management for co-managed and temporary employees.
Robert’s journey began with a sharp focus on PEOs and staffing, which has since expanded to include coverage options for the film & television industry and healthcare staffing. In 2023, Barrow Group joined forces with The Hilb Group, enhancing their expertise and service offerings.
Barrow Group specializes in workers’ compensation, employee benefits, liability, and cyber liability insurance. Their certified risk managers offer high-level support to help clients reduce risk and lower costs. They provide expert guidance on finding affordable employee benefits, including traditional health plans and ACA-compliant options.
Robert is a Certified Insurance Counselor, Certified Workers’ Compensation Advisor, and a Certified Benefits & Wellness Advisor. He is a member of the National Association of Professional Employer Organizations (NAPEO) and holds a master’s degree from The University of Georgia. His latest venture involves building a group captive insurance program to offer alternative risk financing for workers’ compensation and health & benefit insurance.
Originally from Providence, RI, Robert moved south to attend graduate school at the University of Georgia. Beyond his professional achievements, Robert has a passion for music and travel.
